Ousted Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Sunday mounted another blistering attack on the country's interim leader Muhammad Yunus, accusing him of leading an "undemocratic group" that has no responsibility towards the people.

A Bangladeshi inquiry commission has implicated deposed Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and top officials in approximately 3,500 enforced disappearances. The commission's report unveiled a "systematic design" involving secret detention centers and the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB).

An inquiry commission set up by the interim government in Bangladesh said in a provisional report that it has found ex-premier Sheikh Hasina's involvement in alleged incidents of enforced disappearance.

Retired Supreme Court judge Mainul Islam Chowdhury, chairman of the commission, told Yunus that while undertaking investigations, the commission came across a 'systematic design' that allowed incidents of enforced disappearances to go undetected.

The commission recommended the disbanding of anti-terror outfit Rapid Action Battalion, which has been accused of human rights abuse.

The ex-military and police officers are on the run, mostly believed to be abroad since the ouster of Hasina's Awami League regime on August 5, following a student-led uprising.

The commission’s report highlighted the role of the police’s Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), an elite anti-crime force composed of personnel from various branches of the military and law enforcement.
