Tyler Kreiter, a 43-year-old engineer/paramedic, died Thursday following a battle with cancer. He was with GBMFD for 17 years.

First responders at the Green Bay Metro Fire Department are grieving the loss of 43-year-old Tyler Kreiter, A devoted public servant for nearly two decades. Kreiter passed away yesterday after battling a rare form of cancer for the last 3 years.

Fire Chief Matthew Knott, Mayor Eric Genrich and members of the fire department gathered Friday morning at Station 6 at a news conference to remember Kreiter. He had been battling cancer for three years, Knott said, but never complained about working a single day during his fight.
