Instead of facing off against the Vision Pro, Samsung should have taken the fight to the headsets that actually dominate the mixed reality space, the Meta Quest 3 and 3S.

Google and Samsung have combined forces to bring a new headset that is hoped to change the game by 2025, bringing Gemini smarts and deep smartphone integration through apps and Google services.

Meta said in a blog post, “We’ve partnered with Microsoft to turn Meta Quest 3 and 3S into a natural extension of your Windows 11 PC. Once you’ve done the initial setup, all you’ll have to do is look at your Windows 11 PC and you’ll be prompted to pair. No need to lift up your headset or do anything on your PC itself.”
