Idaho head football coach Jason Eck is being hired for the same role at New Mexico, the Journal has learned. Eck, 47, was 26-13 with three playoff appearances in as many seasons with the Vandals. At UNM, he'll replace Bronco Mendenhall, who was announced in the same role at Utah State on Dec. 6 after one season with the Lobos.
