Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has had hip replacement surgery at a U.S. military hospital in Germany after falling while at an event in Luxembourg with other members of Congress.

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi underwent successful emergency hip-replacement surgery on Saturday after she sustained injuries during a visit to Luxembourg.

Nancy Pelosi sustained a hip fracture due to a fall while in Europe. Days later, she underwent hip replacement surgery.
