Scotland will begin their World Cup 2026 qualifying campaign away to either Denmark or Portugal on 5 September. The final place in Group C will be decided when those two sides meet in a Nations League A quarter-final in March,

The losing team in the Nations League quarter-final between Denmark and Portugal will be top seeds in group C, but that won't be confirmed until March. So fans don't yet know if Cristiano Ronaldo will have the opportunity to throw another tantrum in front of the Tartan Army, or if Celtic stopper Kasper Schmeichel will be playing on his doorstep.

The Republic of Ireland will play Hungary, x, and either Portugal or Denmark in World Cup qualifying next year. Heimir Hallgrimsson's side will kick off their qualifying campaign in September. Ireland were drawn into a four-team qualifying group, meaning the June international window can be used for tune up friendlies.
