The Detroit Red Wings have announced that goaltender Jack Campbell has been recalled on an emergency basis from the AHL’s Grand Rapids Griffins. The move comes after starting netminder Cam Talbot reaggravated a lower-body ailment that recently kept him out of the lineup for a four-game stretch.

Talbot stopped 32-of-34 shots he faced in Thursday’s 4-1 loss in Philadelphia, giving the team a chance to win. It was his first appearance since Dec. 1, when he was injured during the second period of a 5-4 overtime loss to Vancouver.

Scott Laughton scored all four goals for the Flyers. Laughton scored on a breakaway in the second period after a series of big Talbot saves, then converted a two-on-one rush shorthanded early in the third period to extend the Flyers lead to 2-0.
