Lawmakers, advocates react to proposed bills banning 'ghost guns,' bump stocks
Bump stocks were banned by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives in 2018 after the mass shooting in Las Vegas in 2017 that killed 60 people and injured 850. However, that decision was overturned by the U.S. Supreme Court, leaving it up to the states to decide whether or not to make them illegal.
