Vincic is the fourth player to transfer to Michigan State since Smith became coach. Last year, quarterback Aidan Chiles, tight end Jack Velling and offensive guard Tanner Miller transferred to the Spartans. In addition, OSU lost five commits from its 2024 recruiting class to Michigan State.

Michigan State football landed a pair of transfers Sunday in offensive lineman Luka Vincic (Oregon State) and wideout Omari Kelly (Middle Tennessee).

Luka Vincic, a redshirt sophomore offensive lineman from Oregon State, announced his commitment to the Spartans via social media on Sunday. That will reunite him with coach Jonathan Smith and offensive line coach Jim Michalczik, who brought him to Corvallis in 2022 and coached him for two seasons before leaving for Michigan State.

Michigan State football is taking it upon themselves to totally rebuild their line of scrimmage, knowing that the offensive line play has to drastically improve from 2024 to 2025. The Spartans have taken the first step in improving that area of the team.

The second commitment came from former Oregon State offensive lineman Luke Vincic, who was going to be a starting guard for the Beavers in 2025. He has played in 22 games during his career and will reunite with his former O-line coach with two years of eligibility remaining.

Vincic is the fifth Oregon State offensive lineman to leave the program after the 2024 season, joining four senior starters who are out of eligibility.

The Michigan State football team potentially bolstered its passing game for 2025 on Sunday, gaining a verbal commitment from wide receiver Omari Kelly.

Vincic was recruited to Oregon State by now MSU offensive line coach Jim Michalczik in the 2022 recruiting class. He has spent three years with the Beavers, and will bring two years of eligibility wherever he ends up. NC State, Penn State and Utah are in the mix for the offensive lineman’s talents.
