Ferrari will supply engines and gearboxes to a new Cadillac Formula One team in a multi-year agreement from 2026, subject to final approval of the entry, the Italian manufacturer said on Tuesday.

Ferrari will supply engines to the new Cadillac team if its entry is approved for the 2026 Formula 1 season. The US brand has an agreement in principle with F1 to join the championship from 2026 and to build its own engine "at a later time".

Ferrari will supply power units to the Cadillac F1 team beginning in 2026 until GM is able to begin supplying its own units.

Ferrari Chief Executive Benedetto Vigna said Formula One was in the DNA of the company as earlier on Tuesday it announced it would supply engines and gearboxes to a new Cadillac Formula One team in a multi-year agreement from 2026.

GM-Cadillac will team up with iconic Italian brand Ferrari for it's F1 entry in 2026 with the fledging team taking a supply of power units and gearboxes.
