Michigan has hired Chip Lindsey as its next offensive coordinator, the school announced Friday. Lindsey served most recently as North Carolina's offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for the last two seasons and worked with current New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye during the 2023 season.

The University of Michigan hired Chip Lindsey as its offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach to revitalize their offense, building on his successful tenure at UNC.

Michigan football head coach Sherrone Moore said it would be a day or two before he made a decision on who the Wolverines’ new offensive coordinator would be. However, about 30 minutes later, news broke that former Auburn and North Carolina offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Chip Lindsey had been offered the job and had accepted.
