Ola Electric had hired Balachandar N initially as its CHRO in May 2021 when the company was gearing up to launch its first line of electric scooters.

N Balachandar, Ola Group's Chief People Officer, has resigned after two years, reportedly to start his own consultancy. This follows several other senior executive departures from Ola this year, amidst layoffs at Ola Electric and increasing competition for Ola's ride-hailing business.

Balachandar stepping down has added another senior-level exit at the Ola group this year. In May 2021, Balachandar was appointed as the chief human resources officer of Ola Electric followed by his elevation to the group level later on in the same year.
